Process Engineer – Cutting, Lead Preparation & Crimping

About the role

Join Lear’s Kenitra plant as a Cutting, Lead Preparation, Process & Tooling Engineer. You will define, develop and optimise manufacturing processes for cutting, stripping, crimping and lead preparation, ensuring production readiness for new launches and serial production.

Key responsibilities

• Define process requirements (machines, parameters, tooling) for new projects and engineering changes.
• Plan and coordinate acquisition, installation, validation and ramp‑up of equipment and tooling.
• Prepare and manage CAPEX requests for tooling and equipment, controlling costs.
• Optimise cycle times, improve methods and balance production lines using Lean tools (VSM, SIPOC, Kaizen).
• Coordinate industrialisation activities with production, maintenance, quality, central engineering, suppliers and customers.
• Develop and maintain process and tooling documentation, monitor performance and capacity, and support production planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac+5) with at least 5 years of experience in wiring activities.
• Strong knowledge of cutting, lead preparation and crimping manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and synthesis skills.

Required skills

• Cutting, lead preparation and crimping process expertise.
• Process optimisation techniques and Lean tools (VSM, SIPOC, Kaizen).
• CAPEX planning and equipment validation.
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
