Product Quality Engineer (PQE)

About the role

The Product Quality Engineer (PQE) provides technical support to Volvo's dealer network in Morocco, acting as an extension of the Customer Technical Service Department. You will identify, report, and manage product quality issues while collaborating with Volvo Truck Corporation and regional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day technical assistance to dealers via the Argus Technical Helpdesk and participate in Helpdesk/VAS rotations.
• Monitor Field/Dealer Quality Reports (DQR) and submit Market Quality Reports (MQR) to flag quality issues.
• Prioritize cases, evaluate solutions, and assess impact based on cost, safety, geographic coverage, and customer importance.
• Analyze warranty costs and failure frequencies, propose financial support requests to Volvo Truck Corporation.
• Support the Sales Department with quality feedback on incorrectly specified trucks.
• Collaborate with Technical Trainers, verify dealer compliance with safety, workshop, and visual standards.
• Identify training needs, deliver on‑the‑job training, and support remote diagnostics and connected services.
• Ensure adherence to Volvo Group health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Perform any other duties reasonably requested by the manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of heavy‑duty commercial vehicle systems and diagnostic processes.
• Experience in technical support, after‑sales service, or warranty management within the automotive/commercial‑vehicle sector.
• Good understanding of warranty procedures, quality processes, and dealer network operations.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
