Project Management Officer - Data

About the role

The Project Management Officer (PMO) – Data will structure, coordinate and drive the bank’s data projects and programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and meet strategic objectives. Acting as the central facilitator, the PMO oversees the full project lifecycle, managing schedules, resources, risks and quality of deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain project and programme schedules (GANTT, PERT).
• Set up governance mechanisms – indicators, dashboards and reporting.
• Define and enforce project management methods, processes and standards.
• Coordinate multiple projects within a portfolio or programme.
• Monitor progress on deadlines, costs, quality and scope.
• Track budget consumption and allocate resources efficiently.
• Identify and manage risks, blockers and inter‑project dependencies.
• Ensure reliable centralisation and dissemination of project information.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops and produce minutes.
• Support resolution of project friction points and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with a specialization in project management, data or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing data projects, preferably in the banking sector.

Required skills

• Project and portfolio management expertise.
• Planning techniques such as GANTT and PERT.
• Budget tracking and financial control.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
