QA Analyst (Manual & Automation) – Freelance

About the role

Cafeyn is seeking a freelance QA Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of its web and mobile applications. You will perform comprehensive manual testing across platforms, identify defects early, and contribute to delivering a seamless user experience for millions of readers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual tests on web, iOS, and Android applications, covering regression, sanity, exploratory, and other test types.
• Identify critical and major bugs early in the development cycle and produce clear, reproducible bug reports.
• Contribute to improving test cases and overall test coverage.
• Collaborate daily with Product, Tech, Customer Care, and QA teams.
• Prioritize testing efforts based on impact, severity, and timelines.
• Develop a solid understanding of user workflows and business logic to test with context.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manual QA Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with web, mobile (iOS & Android), and API testing on real devices and emulators.
• Proficiency in writing clear, structured test cases and test plans.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum project methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid auto‑entrepreneur status or registered company to invoice for services.
