QA Functional Engineer (Rabat/Casablanca)

About the role

SQLI is seeking a QA Functional Engineer to join its testing team in Rabat (also covering Casablanca). The role focuses on designing, executing and maintaining functional test scenarios for web, mobile and API applications, ensuring high‑quality delivery in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional requirements, define test approaches and maintain traceability between requirements and test coverage.
• Design, structure and execute manual and basic automated functional test scenarios across web, mobile and API layers.
• Prepare test environments, manage test data and continuously improve QA practices, tools and methodologies.
• Identify, report and track defects while collaborating closely with development, product and business teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and mentor junior testers within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in functional testing, preferably in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical mindset, detail‑oriented and autonomous.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Manual functional testing on web and mobile applications.
• REST API testing, JSON/XML handling, Postman (or similar).
• Test management tools: Jira, Xray, TestLink, HP ALM.
• Collaboration tools: Confluence, Microsoft Teams.
• Cross‑device testing: BrowserStack, iOS/Android smartphones & tablets.
• Basic automation knowledge: Selenium, Karate, Katalon.
• Familiarity with CMS/ERP platforms such as Drupal and Hybris/HMC.
