Quality Engineer – Automotive (MQ Engineer I)

About the role

The MQ Engineer I will support the development and continuous improvement of TE Connectivity's quality management systems for automotive production. Reporting to the quality department, the role ensures compliance with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and related standards while driving customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949.
• Execute key quality strategies and monitor plant performance metrics.
• Conduct internal and external audits, including customer audits, and present findings.
• Analyze internal and external PPM, perform root‑cause analysis, and define corrective actions.
• Handle customer and inter‑company complaints, prepare 8D reports and communicate resolutions.
• Prepare production documentation such as CP, QIP, failure catalogues and PPAP submissions.
• Support production lines in quality issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in P‑FMEA updates and provide methodical support to line inspectors.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on Quality or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in Business English and French.
• Independent work ethic and ability to collaborate within cross‑functional teams.
