Quality Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our global quality function within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the overall Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and statutory requirements while driving continuous improvement across the value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the quality strategy, set objectives, KPIs and ensure sustainable achievement.
• Lead, develop and empower the quality team worldwide, fostering a high‑performance, values‑driven culture.
• Maintain stable production processes and continuously improve product and process quality in series production.
• Report performance, risks and improvement opportunities to executive management.
• Manage customer and supplier quality, including complaints, audits and satisfaction.
• Act as central interface with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, including C‑level.
• Handle non‑conformities, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Approve and safeguard processes, products and changes (sampling, engineering changes).
• Monitor quality KPIs, drive Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen initiatives, and optimise costs.
• Ensure robust quality processes from incoming goods to production and delivery.
• Oversee internal and external audits, test concepts and validation procedures.
• Serve as Product Safety & Conformity Representative (PSCR) and stop production if critical deviations occur.
• Guarantee compliance with health, safety, environmental and ISO standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (Master’s optional) in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of quality management experience in automotive manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of proven leadership of international teams.
• Strong expertise in quality standards, systems and automotive production processes (ideally wiring harness).
• Experience in customer and supplier quality management, audits and complaint handling.
