Quality Production Engineer

About the role

The Quality Production Engineer will lead the quality inspection team for a specific production segment, ensuring that customer specifications are consistently met and driving continuous improvement across processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the quality inspector team and manage HOS (Hirschmann Operational System) and CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) initiatives such as 5S, Kanban, zero‑defect strategy, and 8D problem‑solving.
• Train and inform inspectors on customer specifications to guarantee compliance throughout production.
• Handle non‑conformities identified during customer audits, communicating timely action plans and findings.
• Apply and uphold quality standards and norms, including IATF16949, VDA, core quality tools, and CSR requirements.
• Participate actively in new project development and serial transfer activities.
• Support the plant in product and process quality improvements through audits and other quality activities.
• Utilize SAP and customer portals for data management and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree plus five years (BAC+5) in Industrial, Mechanical or Technical Engineering.
• Minimum six months of experience as a quality engineer in an industrial setting.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, technical background, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent organization, stress resistance, initiative, and conflict‑management skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Quality tools: 5S, Kanban, 8D, zero‑defect strategy.

• Knowledge of IATF16949, VDA, core quality tools, CSR standards.
• SAP proficiency.
