R&D Financial Consultant – US Market

About the role

Leyton is seeking a detail‑oriented R&D Financial Consultant to support US‑market clients in R&D tax credit studies. The role sits at the intersection of finance, payroll data and technical project information, helping companies identify and secure public innovation funding.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial statements and payroll data.
• Support the identification and calculation of eligible R&D expenses.
• Assist in preparing R&D tax credit calculations and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with technical consultants to align project activities with R&D eligibility criteria.
• Analyze payroll, contractor costs, software and supply expenses related to R&D activities.
• Prepare cost allocation surveys and clear client‑facing summaries.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple tax years and studies.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with financial data and large datasets.
• Ability to translate technical project information into financial allocations.
• Good communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
