R&D Product Development Engineer (Chinese Speaker)

About the role

TE Connectivity is seeking an experienced R&D Product Development Engineer who can bridge technical design, cost optimisation and cross‑functional collaboration. The role requires fluency in basic Chinese and strong communication in English and French to support global automotive projects.

Key responsibilities

• Follow TE Connectivity product development procedures and customer specifications.
• Lead "Design to Cost" and "Design Reuse" initiatives, creating and reviewing FMEA and design reviews.
• Produce and supervise technical documentation, including product specifications, application notes and packaging instructions.
• Protect intellectual property by managing NDAs and patent requests with the IP department.
• Participate in product qualification, metrology analysis, testing and parts conformity decisions.
• Maintain project data in PLM (Program Central) and ensure proper classification.
• Prepare PPAP documentation and manage product lifecycle improvements.
• Support equipment duplication, transfer and production release processes.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Fluent in English and French; basic knowledge of Chinese.
