Regional Legal Counsel – Africa

About the role

The Regional Legal Counsel – Africa will provide legal support and guidance across Hudson Group’s operations in the African region, primarily Morocco, Kenya and Nigeria. Based in Casablanca, the role involves advising business leaders, managing external counsel and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support for commercial, corporate, labour and regulatory matters across multiple African jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate supplier, distribution, service, lease and partnership agreements.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external legal counsel in each country.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise on potential impacts.
• Support dispute resolution, litigation management and risk mitigation activities.
• Assist with corporate governance, entity management and compliance requirements.
• Participate in business expansion projects, franchise partnerships and new market initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
• 5–10 years of legal experience in a law firm or in‑house setting.
• Experience supporting multiple African jurisdictions, preferably Morocco, Kenya and Nigeria.
• Strong commercial and contract drafting abilities with a focus on risk mitigation.
• Fluent in English and French; Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel across the African region as needed.
