Resident Engineer – Instrumentation & Control

About the role

The Resident Engineer will be the on‑site technical liaison for Mitsubishi Power equipment under a Long‑Term Service Agreement. Reporting to the LTSA Project Manager, you will support the client’s Operations and Maintenance team, focusing on instrumentation, control systems and overall unit reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day technical support for instrumentation and control, acting as the primary interface with the client’s O&M team.
• Lead rapid troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for I&C and equipment issues.
• Support planned, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including spare‑parts management.
• Analyse unit performance data, trips and derating events to drive reliability improvements.
• Coordinate planned outages and act as site coordinator during unplanned maintenance events.

Required profile

• Graduate‑level engineering degree (Instrumentation & Control, Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or related).
• Strong interest or background in I&C, automation, electrical systems or industrial operations.
• Analytical mindset with structured problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands‑on attitude and willingness to work on‑site in a plant environment.
• Fluent business English and good communication skills.
