Sales Manager – Flow Controls (North & West Africa)

About the role

The IBU Manager for Flow Controls will lead sales, services and education initiatives for digital valve controllers and digital valve services across North and West Africa. This position blends technical expertise with commercial leadership to grow Emerson’s market presence and support customers’ digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and business development for Flow Controls solutions, products and services in the region.
• Develop and execute regional growth strategies, including new‑product launches and expansion of digital valve offerings.
• Achieve financial targets by increasing bookings, revenue and profitability in line with MEA business plans.
• Grow the installed base and maximize long‑term value through connected services and digital solutions.
• Partner with local partners and sales teams to identify niche opportunities and strengthen technical differentiation.
• Coach and develop regional sales capabilities through structured engagement.
• Maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders to ensure trust in Emerson’s capabilities.
• Analyse market trends, competition and customer insights to guide pricing, forecasting and marketing.
• Collaborate across business units to build a digital transformation pipeline and deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Emerson ethics, trade, health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Proven experience leading sales, business development or channel management in the valve or process‑control industry.
• Strong understanding of control‑valve applications, sizing and selection.
• Track record of driving profitable growth across complex regional territories.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building skills across diverse cultures.
