Section Head - Engineering

About the role

Cipla Ain Ouda plant is looking for a Section Head - Engineering to ensure the proper functioning, maintenance and continuous improvement of all equipment and utilities in line with GMP standards and production requirements. The role covers maintenance planning, compliance documentation, safety, team management and technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintenance planning and execution: plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for production and utility equipment, keeping downtime low and machine availability high
• Compliance and documentation: keep maintenance records, equipment logbooks, calibration and qualification files up to date, ensure cGMP compliance, and support internal and external audits
• Safety and operational efficiency: monitor workplace safety standards, ensure safe operation of equipment, and coordinate energy-saving and optimisation projects
• Team management: supervise maintenance technicians, assign daily tasks, give technical guidance and run regular training
• Continuous improvement: propose and implement improvements in equipment reliability and maintenance systems such as TPM, Lean and 5S
• Interact with internal teams (production, planning, quality assurance, HSE, warehouse and purchase) and external parties (equipment suppliers, service providers, auditors and calibration agencies)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (Bac +5 or more) in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics or an equivalent engineering field
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Fluent spoken and written French and English

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP, HVAC, utilities and cleanroom standards
• Advanced Excel and Word
