Senior Accountant

About the role

Iron Mountain is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Morocco Finance team. You will manage day‑to‑day financial operations, ensure accurate monthly accounting, and support a strong internal control environment for the country’s activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end accounting transactions, including three‑way matching of supplier invoices, vendor reconciliations, cash settlements and payment processing.
• Prepare monthly bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations with a focus on high‑risk accounts.
• Partner with the procurement leader to maintain the purchasing application and respond to local management requests.
• Collaborate with banking partners, external auditors and tax consultants to ensure smooth cash‑flow operations and reporting.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns, manage vendor withholding certificates, and support audits and tax inspections.
• Ensure compliance with local procurement‑to‑pay processes, delegation of authority and KYC documentation.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of Moroccan GAAP, US GAAP and Moroccan tax regulations.
• Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and navigating complex ERP systems.
• Ability to solve financial problems independently and communicate effectively in English.
