Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead end‑to‑end French GAAP accounting for French real‑estate entities in Casablanca. The role combines technical accounting, supervision of junior staff, and close collaboration with tax and audit teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead French GAAP accounting for real‑estate entities, handling monthly, quarterly and annual close.
• Prepare and review closing entries, accruals, provisions, FX adjustments and reclassifications.
• Supervise and complete the AC3 (or equivalent) working file, ensuring a full audit trail.
• Review client schedules (fixed assets, capex, loans, leases, provisions) and reconcile them with the general ledger.
• Prepare French statutory financial statements (liasse, balance sheet, P&L, annexes) with FEC compliance.
• Coordinate with tax teams to align statutory accounts with CIT, VAT and other filings.
• Perform detailed IFRS‑to‑French GAAP conversions and document adjustments.
• Supervise junior accountants, allocate work, review files and provide feedback.
• Drive process improvement and automation through Excel tools and ERP enhancements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance (DSCG, Master CCA or equivalent).
• Approximately 5 years of experience with French GAAP, preferably in a shared service centre or audit firm.
• Strong exposure to real‑estate accounting and IFRS‑to‑local‑GAAP conversions.
• Professional fluency in French and working proficiency in English.
