Senior Actuary – Life & Health Reserving (North Asia) – Casablanca

About the role

The Senior Actuary will join SCOR's North Asia Life & Health Reserving team, based in the actuarial hub in Casablanca. Reporting to the Head of L&H Reserving, North Asia, the role focuses on delivering IFRS 17, Solvency II and local statutory results for the Korean and Japanese markets while leading valuation activities and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and produce IFRS 17, Solvency II and local statutory reserving results for North Asia.
• Analyse changes across reporting bases and update assumptions.
• Lead experience analysis, set actuarial assumptions and conduct stress testing.
• Liaise with Technical Accounting, Pricing and IFM teams to validate baseline estimates.
• Manage the actuarial audit process and coordinate with local auditors.
• Maintain high‑quality documentation, controls and reporting frameworks.
• Mentor junior actuaries and drive automation of reserving processes.
• Support the Head of Reserving on a broad range of valuation activities and strategic projects.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in life & health actuarial reserving.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and Solvency II reporting.
• Proven ability to lead valuation projects and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent analytical skills and stakeholder communication.
