Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Yakeey, a fast‑growing PropTech company, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own a specific domain (marketplace, credit or valuation) within its micro‑services platform. You will work with Java and Spring Boot to build high‑quality backend services that integrate seamlessly with the rest of the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot micro‑services for the assigned domain following domain‑driven design principles.
• Create and expose robust APIs that interact with other platform components, adhering to the Model Context Protocol where required.
• Ensure architectural consistency by aligning implementations with global patterns and cross‑team agreements.
• Collaborate with front‑end, data, DevOps and AI teams to understand dependencies and deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Required profile

• Strong curiosity for next‑generation AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG and Model Context Protocol.
• Solid experience building backend systems with Java and Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of micro‑services architecture and RESTful API design.
• Ability to work independently on a domain while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
