Senior Beverage Application Technologist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Beverage Application Technologist to join the regional technical team supporting customers across West and Central Africa. The role combines hands‑on formulation, product development and direct customer interaction to create and optimise flavour solutions for a wide range of liquid beverages.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply flavour solutions for soft drinks, juices, energy drinks, malt beverages and other liquid products.
• Evaluate flavour performance, stability and sensory profile, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory and cost constraints.
• Create prototypes, concepts and samples for customer presentations and product trials.
• Work directly with customers to optimise formulations, providing technical support during trials and production.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, R&D and flavour creation teams to deliver projects and win new briefs.
• Translate market and consumer trends into innovative beverage concepts.
• Act as the technical expert on beverage applications and share knowledge across the organisation.
• Travel regularly across assigned markets in West and Central Africa to support customers and projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in beverage applications within a flavour house, food‑ingredients company or beverage manufacturer.
• Strong expertise in liquid‑beverage formulation and flavour application.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the region and work in multicultural environments.
