Senior Data Engineer – Azure & Big Data

About the role

The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and industrialize scalable data pipelines and platforms on Microsoft Azure. Working within AXA Global Business Services Morocco, you will ensure high‑performance, reliable data processing that meets business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and optimise end‑to‑end data solutions on Azure, including batch and streaming pipelines.
• Model, organise, and enhance data architectures to support business requirements.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance through monitoring, documentation, and governance.
• Collaborate with IT teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative data solutions.
• Maintain and improve performance of platforms such as Spark, Delta Lake, and Kafka.
• Manage projects independently in an agile environment, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Power BI and Azure cloud architecture.
• Proven experience with big‑data technologies and data‑pipeline development.
• Excellent communication in French and English, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Rigor, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and results‑oriented approach.
