Senior Data Engineer – Databricks & Cloud

About the role

RED TIC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and cloud‑based data platforms. The role focuses on leveraging Databricks, Apache Spark, and modern data‑modeling techniques to deliver reliable, high‑performance data solutions for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Implement and manage medallion architecture and advanced data models (dimensional, relational, Data Vault).
• Integrate data from databases, data warehouses, APIs, and external systems while ensuring data consistency and quality.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost, including caching, indexing, and tuning.
• Manage Databricks Unity Catalog – policies, security, access control, and cost monitoring.
• Configure and administer Databricks clusters and environments.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, ensure data governance, and communicate requirements and insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of data engineering experience, with at least 4 years hands‑on Databricks.
• Proven expertise in data integration, modeling, optimization, and quality assurance.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in agile teams.
