Senior Data Engineer

About the role

The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop and industrialise scalable data pipelines and platforms on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high performance, reliability and security across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and industrialise scalable data pipelines and platforms on Microsoft Azure.
• Maintain and optimise data processing systems such as Spark, Delta Lake and Kafka to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Implement data quality, security and governance controls, including monitoring and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT teams, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end data solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering, with strong expertise in Azure cloud architecture.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in an agile environment and manage projects independently.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure services: Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Functions, Key Vault.
• Big data technologies: Apache Spark, Delta Lake, RDD, Apache Kafka.
• Programming: Python, Shell scripting, Git.
• DevOps tools: Azure Pipelines, SonarQube, Checkmarx.
• Data visualisation: Power BI (certification a plus).
