Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Yakeey, a startup launched in March 2023 that transforms property buying, selling and renting in Morocco, is strengthening its engineering team and looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. You will build, scale and secure the company's cloud-native platform, working at the heart of its AWS infrastructure with a focus on scalability, automation and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain robust cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC).
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters (EKS) in production, and oversee staging environments with a focus on hosting cost control and monitoring.
• Build reliable GitLab CI/CD pipelines so developers can focus on shipping code.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and promote Infrastructure as Code.
• Embed security at every stage: workload hardening, secrets management, IAM compliance, image and dependency scanning.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / CloudWatch).
• Take part in incident management and drive continuous improvement with an SRE mindset.
• Work with development teams to raise the organisation's DevOps maturity.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud or SRE environments.
• Strong command of AWS and Kubernetes (EKS), with a security mindset (least privilege, zero trust, blast radius).
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab ideally) and an established Infrastructure as Code culture.
• Ability to work autonomously, make technical decisions and defend them clearly.
• Collaborative, mission-driven and comfortable working with development teams.
• French or Arabic is a plus; strong technical English is required.
