Senior Embedded Software Engineer C++

About the role

Scalian is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of advanced embedded solutions. You will drive technical decisions, mentor team members, and ensure the reliability of software used in critical sectors such as aerospace, defense, rail and energy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of embedded software architectures using modern C++ (C++17 or higher).
• Define and promote coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain automated tests with Google Test (GTest) and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, conduct technical reviews and root‑cause analyses.
• Optimize performance, memory usage and real‑time behavior of microcontroller‑based systems.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and contribute to strategic technical decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Extensive experience in embedded software development for microcontroller‑based systems.
• Advanced expertise in modern C++ (C++17 or higher) and strong proficiency in English.
• Proven experience with Google Test (GTest) and CI/CD environments.
