Senior Expert - Cybersecurity Governance & Capacity Building

About the role

COMVEX is looking for senior cybersecurity experts available for short-term advisory assignments on national cybersecurity governance across North Africa and the Middle East. The work is offered as a consultancy, with missions lasting from a few days to several weeks over a 24-month period, either remotely or on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Advise governments on national cybersecurity strategies and regulations.
• Support alignment with international standards and frameworks such as NIS2, NIST and ISO 27001.
• Assess and strengthen national CSIRTs/CERTs, including organisation, processes, incident response and information sharing.
• Deliver training, tabletop exercises and contribute to cyber diplomacy activities.

Required profile

• Master's degree in information security, computer science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including strategy, governance or CSIRT/CERT management.
• Experience working with national agencies (e.g. DGSSI/maCERT, ANCS or foreign agencies) or advising them.
• Experience in the MENA region; fluency in English, French and/or Arabic is an asset.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are an asset.
