Senior Full Stack Developer – Data Platform

About the role

The Digital Transformation Department of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead end‑to‑end data projects on its Microsoft Fabric‑based Data Platform. You will work closely with business units across finance, logistics, HR, and project management to deliver data‑driven solutions that support humanitarian operations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and clarify business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, build, and maintain data schemas, data models (Data Vault and dimensional), and data pipelines using Azure Synapse.
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards, and manage user‑testing pipelines.
• Lead a small team of 2‑3 full‑stack developers, coordinating priorities, ensuring consistent approaches, and fostering continuous learning.
• Collaborate with AI and data experts, external suppliers, academia, and consultants to integrate AI initiatives.
• Maintain and optimise the IFRC Data Platform for performance, security, and scalability.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in full‑stack development and data engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small technical teams.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian or non‑profit data environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
