Senior Lead, AI, Digital and Data Capacity Development

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Senior Lead to drive AI, digital and data capacity development across its global operations. The role focuses on embedding AI and digital tools into programme delivery, data analytics and operational processes to improve efficiency and impact for children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a global strategy for AI, digital and data adoption aligned with the organisation’s overall strategy.
• Lead cross‑functional engagement with senior leadership, country offices and programme teams to promote AI‑enabled productivity and decision‑making.
• Chair senior leadership forums, ensuring accountability for the use of digital, data and AI solutions.
• Facilitate collaboration across Save the Children entities to align on digital, data and AI initiatives.
• Develop and deliver capacity‑building programmes, both formal and informal, to strengthen staff competence in AI, digital and data tools.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading AI, digital or data transformation in a large, multi‑national organisation.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive organisational change.
• Strong understanding of ICT4D (information and communication technology for development) and its application in humanitarian contexts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
