Senior Lead, AI, Digital and Data Capacity Development

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Senior Lead to drive AI, digital and data capacity development across its global programmes. The role will shape strategy, governance and adoption of emerging technologies to improve decision‑making, efficiency and impact for children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a global AI, digital and data strategy aligned with the organisation’s overarching goals.
• Lead cross‑functional engagement with senior leadership, country offices and programme teams to champion AI adoption.
• Chair senior leadership forums, set governance frameworks, and hold executives accountable for digital, data and AI utilisation.
• Facilitate capacity‑building initiatives—both formal training and informal knowledge sharing—to empower staff at all levels.
• Coordinate with movement‑wide entities to ensure alignment, collaboration and best‑practice sharing on digital and AI initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in AI, digital transformation or data strategy within large, complex organisations.
• Strong track record of leading cross‑functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of the development sector’s data landscape and ICT4D principles.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills to drive adoption across diverse cultural contexts.
