Senior Software Engineer – Perception (Radar / Machine Learning)

About the role

Stellantis is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its AI/Autonomous Driving division, which aims to turn the group into a software automotive company. The Perception and Fusion team builds the core functions that let vehicles perceive their surroundings and make the right decisions. The role focuses on Radar perception and fusion, using both traditional and machine learning approaches, and is based in Casablanca.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and develop Radar perception and fusion with traditional and ML approaches.
• Support the optimization and deployment of these models on Stellantis vehicles.
• Support Radar sensor engineering by analysing and evaluating product performance against perception requirements.
• Proactively support the DevOps and MLOps teams with feedback and suggestions to improve the software pipeline.
• Work cross-functionally to understand and solve challenges related to Perception systems in autonomous driving.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with Radar perception and/or Radar-Camera fusion algorithms.
• 1+ year of experience in perception/robotics machine learning projects.
• 3+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (Python and/or C++) and popular ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Advocates software engineering best practices such as test-driven development, version control and documentation.
• Preferred: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Vision, Computer Science, Machine Learning or similar.
• Preferred: experience in multi-sensor perception, mobile robotics (ROS), 3D visualization, distributed systems, embedded systems for ADAS and mapping, and deep learning proof of concept and prototypes.
