SOC Analyst – Cybersecurity Monitoring

About the role

Join act digital's cybersecurity team as a SOC Analyst, responsible for building and maintaining advanced security monitoring and detection capabilities across a range of platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, implementation, validation, tuning, and maintenance of security monitoring, analytics, and detection capabilities across SIEM, EDR, cloud, and other cybersecurity platforms.
• Support the operation, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of security monitoring and threat detection services.
• Participate in onboarding, integration, testing, and validation of security data sources, telemetry feeds, and monitoring capabilities.
• Collaborate with cyber threat intelligence, incident response, and cybersecurity operations teams to translate operational and threat intelligence requirements into effective detection and monitoring capabilities.
• Assist in cybersecurity architecture reviews of new or existing solutions and provide recommendations to enhance monitoring effectiveness.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in information technology security, including alert triage and incident support.
• Proven experience administering a SIEM platform, preferably Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.

• SIEM tools: Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, ArcSight, ELK Stack.
• EDR solutions: Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike.
• Microsoft security suite: M365, Cloud App Security, Azure, Defender for Endpoints, Azure Security, Azure Sentinel, XDR.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Scripting languages: Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, Python.
• Operating systems: Linux, macOS, Windows.
