Social Transformation Senior Advisor

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Social Transformation Senior Advisor to lead the development and embedding of locally‑led programming principles across its global sponsorship programmes. The role focuses on fostering community ownership, sustainability and inclusive change for children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to sponsorship programmes to ensure high‑quality design, delivery and measurement of social transformation initiatives.
• Advance global thought leadership on locally‑led approaches, drawing on programme evidence and external learning.
• Generate evidence and create resources that support impactful social transformation strategies.
• Champion inclusive practices by integrating diversity, equity and inclusion principles into all programme stages.
• Monitor and evaluate programme impact using data‑driven and participatory methods, refining strategies continuously.
• Lead strategic positioning, advocacy and scale‑up of proven social transformation models.

Required profile

• Proven experience in social transformation, community‑led development or related fields within the nonprofit sector.
• Strong background in sponsorship or child‑focused programmes with a track record of generating evidence‑based resources.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and influence global stakeholders.
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values of accountability and integrity.
