Software Engineer – Embedded, Command & Control, Tooling

About the role

Harmattan AI is building autonomous defence systems and seeks Software Engineers to contribute to embedded robotics, command‑and‑control platforms, internal tooling, and deployment pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop low‑level drivers, OS, and middleware for autonomous robots.
• Integrate and optimise embedded algorithms for guidance, navigation, control and computer vision on GPUs, TPUs and DSPs.
• Build the backbone of a command‑and‑control system for massive data ingestion, processing and web‑based visualisation.
• Create internal tools, connectors between ERP, MES, PLM and other company systems.
• Implement production‑ready code, conduct rigorous code reviews and ensure seamless system integration.
• Test algorithms in real‑world environments and develop monitoring tools for model performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (PhD a plus).
• Strong coding and architecture skills with hands‑on experience in ML/CV projects.
• Excellent mathematical foundations and ability to work 100% dedicated to mission‑critical defence projects.
• Effective communication and teamwork across hardware and software groups.
