Specialist, Data Governance

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Specialist, Data Governance to lead the implementation of robust data governance frameworks across its global operations. The role will ensure responsible data management, improve decision‑making, and optimise programme delivery for children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data governance policies, standards and procedures across the organization.
• Collaborate with business functions to embed data governance practices and build capability through training and ongoing support.
• Develop and execute data quality monitoring processes, identify and coordinate resolution of data quality issues.
• Establish and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories to ensure consistent data definitions.
• Provide guidance on responsible data management to enhance decision‑making and optimise programme delivery for children.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data governance, data quality or related data management roles.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle, data stewardship and regulatory considerations in the development sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams in a global, multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
