Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer you will develop and implement quality assurance procedures for Magna Seating’s suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer requirements. You will work closely with purchasing, engineering and plant quality teams to support new projects and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and follow up on supplier audits (process, product, system).
• Manage supplier qualification activities, including PPAP, APQP and MLA for new projects.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as PPM, defect rates and 8D reports, and lead improvement actions.
• Analyze non‑conformities, validate corrective actions and ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for customer and certification audits (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3).
• Provide technical support to suppliers on quality standards and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Quality, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in supplier quality, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, 5 Why, PDCA and Pareto.
• Fluent in English and French at a technical level.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Hands‑on knowledge of APQP, PPAP and MLA processes.
• Ability to work with quality metrics and KPI monitoring.
