Supply Chain Associate

About the role

The Supply Chain Associate will work under the Grant Officer and the National Supply Chain Officer, collaborating closely with CO Programme Managers. The role focuses on planning, procurement, logistics, and reporting to ensure beneficiaries receive quality goods and services on time and at optimal cost.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all supply chain activities, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and provisioning of goods and services.
• Prepare regular progress reports, statistical data, and briefing notes as required.
• Review procurement requests, identify qualified service providers, and evaluate vendor performance on quality, price, and delivery.
• Maintain a pool of qualified vendors, solicit bids, oversee the bidding process, and support procurement transactions.
• Analyze offers for conformity, conduct supplier appraisals, select suppliers, and confirm payment terms.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure receiving authorization in line with the CO’s delegation of authority matrix.
• Provide technical support for the preparation and issuance of calls for proposals and tender documents.
• Ensure bidding processes are fair, transparent, and compliant with procurement rules and regulations.
• Contribute to establishing robust internal control mechanisms to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related field with at least two years of relevant professional experience, OR a university degree in the same fields with four years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work under supervision, collaborate with programme managers, and follow organizational procurement policies and regulations.
