SW Firmware Engineer – Embedded Systems

About the role

The SW Firmware Engineer will develop and deliver low‑level software for embedded automotive systems at Lear’s Rabat Technopolis R&D Center. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing and maintaining firmware that meets customer requirements and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document new software requirements and analyze them for design and implementation.
• Design, implement and review embedded low‑level software components following coding standards.
• Perform static analysis, unit testing, integration testing and verification of firmware.
• Maintain software baselines using configuration management tools such as Subversion and Azure DevOps.
• Support third‑party and open‑source software assessments and participate in RFQ/RFI processes.
• Mentor junior firmware engineers and collaborate with global engineering teams.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.
• Strong knowledge of embedded C programming and coding rules.
• Proficient in software and hardware debugging.
• Structured problem‑solving abilities and effective communication in English.
• Experience working with global engineering teams.
