System Development Engineer – Braking Systems

About the role

We are looking for a System Development Engineer specialized in braking systems to lead the design and integration of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software components. You will shape the overall architecture, ensure functional safety, and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver high‑performance vehicle braking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall braking system architecture (electrical/electronic, mechanical, software).
• Develop system concepts and interface definitions.
• Define, manage, and trace system requirements.
• Coordinate subsystems, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
• Ensure seamless vehicle‑level system integration.
• Plan and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities.
• Guarantee functional safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience in braking system development.
• Strong knowledge of mechatronic systems and vehicle dynamics.
• Experience in Systems Engineering and system architecture.
• Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and the V‑model development process.
• Experience in technical coordination or project management.
• Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving abilities.
