Systems Engineering and Lean 4.0 Engineer

About the role

You will support the deployment of Systems and Lean 4.0 initiatives to drive operational excellence and digital transformation at STMicroelectronics. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will help improve processes, increase efficiency and accelerate the adoption of smart manufacturing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and continuously improve Systems and Lean 4.0 solutions in industrial and engineering environments.
• Leverage MES, CMMS, connected systems and data‑driven approaches to digitise operational processes.
• Analyse existing workflows, identify waste, standardise procedures and boost performance.
• Implement lean principles, automation and Industry 4.0 use cases with key stakeholders.
• Define, track and analyse KPIs and dashboards such as OEE and MTBI.
• Roll‑out and optimise digital tools to enhance decision‑making.
• Support manufacturing integration standards (e.g., SECS/GEM) and simulation activities.
• Explore LLM, AI and IoT technologies to improve process intelligence and connectivity.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects, change management and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Engineer or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in an industrial, systems, lean, automation or digital transformation environment.
• Solid understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

Required skills

• MES (Manufacturing Execution System) knowledge.
• CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) experience.
• Familiarity with SECS/GEM manufacturing integration standards.
• Data analysis and KPI/dashboard creation (OEE, MTBI).
• Simulation tools for process assessment.
• Exposure to AI, LLM and IoT technologies.
• Automation and Industry 4.0 concepts.
