Technical Sales Consultant

About the role

The Technical Sales Consultant is a sales‑engineering position within TELUS, focused on designing and delivering technology solutions for business customers across Canada. The role blends technical expertise in connectivity, unified communications, SD‑WAN and cyber‑security with a customer‑first sales mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage expertise in Connectivity, Unified Communications, SD‑WAN or Cyber Security to design and present solutions.
• Collaborate with sales professionals, internal operations and delivery teams throughout the solution development lifecycle.
• Manage end‑to‑end solution development for specific solution sets and handle day‑to‑day customer requests such as Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs).
• Support low to medium complexity technical activities that address business needs of customers.
• Provide technical recommendations and guide customers toward positive outcomes.
• Document solutions and maintain technical records using TELUS tools and Google Suite.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales or a related engineering role.
• Post‑secondary degree in engineering, computer science, a technical diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity and adapt to changing customer needs.
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent business‑level English communication, both verbal and written.
• Customer‑first mindset with proven relationship‑building abilities.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, sales‑driven environment.
