Technical Supervisor ESM/SNIM (Rebuild Workshop Foreman)

About the role

BIA Group sells, rents and provides after-sales services for equipment used in public works, mines, quarries and transport, and operates in Europe, Africa and Asia. It is looking for a Technical Supervisor (ESM/SNIM) to run its rebuilt workshop and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard of quality and reliability within the planned timeframe.

Key responsibilities

• Make full use of the workshop's labour and resources to meet planned operational targets
• Help the workshop manager prepare short- and mid-term operation plans, taking parts delivery into account
• Follow up daily the work done against the plan and supervise subordinates to deliver quality work
• Assign job cards and manage technicians so that jobs match their skills, maximising throughput
• Ensure work follows Komatsu Standard Procedures developed by KRCC for the EMS shop certification, and check that workers use the RESO software correctly
• Submit a daily operations report, daily timesheets and core assessment, component assembly and testing reports to the Workshop Senior Supervisor
• Keep detailed records and photos of every job, labour records and track of every part consumed
• Give practical on-the-job training and technical advice, maintain safe working practices and keep the workshop clean and safe
• Ensure punctual submission of all documentation, accurate timekeeping and effective change management

Required profile

• At least 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar position
• Craft or advanced certificate in the related field
• Experience in rebuild facility procedures and processes
• Experience with removal and installation of components
• Ability to work in a team with prior project work experience
• Fluent French; English is a serious advantage

Required skills

• Very good knowledge of mechanics, engines and electricity
• Experience with Komatsu, Cummins or equivalent equipment
• Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and Project
