Theatre and Music Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Theatre and Music Teacher to plan, deliver, and assess high‑quality learning experiences for primary‑school students. The role focuses on fostering academic, social, emotional, and personal development within a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment, while aligning with the school’s mission, vision, and values.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement theatre and music curricula that meet national standards and school objectives.
• Deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ creativity, confidence, and collaborative skills.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that respects diversity and promotes wellbeing.
• Identify and act on safeguarding and health‑and‑safety concerns in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate arts across the broader curriculum.
• Participate in continuous professional development and school improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching theatre and/or music to primary‑age children.
• Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple classes.
• Enthusiasm for fostering a supportive and creative learning environment.
