Tool & Die Maker III – Mold Maintenance Specialist

About the role

TE Connectivity is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker III to maintain and troubleshoot assembly fixtures and injection molds. The role focuses on preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and compliance with TE’s EH&S policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot assembly fixtures and perform preventative/predictive maintenance on all injection molds.
• Disassemble molds, clean them, change part configurations, and reassemble them.
• Troubleshoot molds for repairs, analyze parts, and complete assigned repair work.
• Inform the Team Leader of component requirements for stores and repairs.
• Keep the mold maintenance area clean and safe at all times.
• Follow work instructions and TS16949 procedures, ensuring all paperwork and log books are up to date.
• Help develop and maintain mold standards and pursue cost‑reduction and cycle‑time improvements.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Toolmaker in mold maintenance.
• High school diploma required; automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience with injection mold maintenance and repairs.
• Solid understanding of the injection molding process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read design drawings and blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of laser welding is an asset.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including unscheduled overtime.
