Position Overview
Cypher is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its Moroccan office in Casablanca. The successful candidate will oversee controllership and reporting for the client portfolio, supervise a small team of entry‑level accountants, and drive process improvements using leading accounting software such as SAP, XERO, Quickbooks, and CRM. The role also involves product development, aligning financial solutions with client needs and market trends, and providing strategic insights to support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and other regulatory standards.
- Manage and guide a team of entry‑level accountants, fostering their growth and ensuring efficient workflows and training programs.
- Develop and refine accounting processes, leveraging tools like SAP, XERO, Quickbooks, and CRM, to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Contribute to the creation and improvement of financial solutions, aligning them with client needs and market trends.
- Utilize audit and finance expertise to provide strategic insights that contribute to overall growth and success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or equivalent.
- CPA or CFA certification preferred, with proven expertise in accounting, finance, and audit practices.
- Extensive experience in accounting roles, showcasing proficiency in accounting software and online tools, especially SAP, XERO, Quickbooks, and CRM.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all work produced.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Leadership capabilities, including the ability to supervise and develop a team of entry‑level accountants.
- Proven organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to create and implement efficient workflows and training programs.
- Language: Fluent in English to communicate with the team and clients.
