Chief Accountant – Taghazout Bay Marriott

About the role

The Chief Accountant will support day‑to‑day general ledger processes for the Taghazout Bay Marriott property, ensuring accurate reporting, reconciliation and compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement accounting projects, SOP audits and fraud/collection procedures across the property.
• Generate timely financial reports, presentations and analyses to support decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate credit‑card ledgers, contract verifications and credit checks for group bookings.
• Monitor taxes, profit‑and‑loss statements and period‑end close activities.
• Provide guidance on accounting and budgeting policies to other departments.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a productive and culturally diverse work environment.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (no experience required) OR a 2‑year degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliation, reporting and discrepancy resolution.
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
