Our company, CAT TRAX, is a leading player in the Import/Export and Freight Forwarding sector. We are expanding our operations in Tanger and are looking for a dedicated Import Operations Operator to manage and streamline our import workflows. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in freight forwarding, preferably in import operations, and will be comfortable working remotely from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage import shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate shipment documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues and ensure timely delivery.
- Use our internal systems to track shipments, update status, and generate reports for management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in the import chain.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on import operations.
- Strong command of the English language (Intermediate to Advanced), both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn and grow within the team.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with a reliable laptop and internet connection.
