About the role
Save the Children International is seeking a Legal Counsel (Compliance) to join its global legal team. The role will support the Head of Legal Compliance, providing pragmatic advice to high‑risk country offices and helping to embed compliance frameworks across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality legal and regulatory advice to country offices and global teams.
- Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring compliance frameworks.
- Represent the legal team in cross‑functional meetings and committees.
- Provide updates on legal compliance matters to the Audit & Risk Committee.
- Support crisis response by adapting working hours and duties as needed.
Required profile
- Qualified lawyer with experience in compliance, regulatory risk or humanitarian contexts.
- Strong understanding of international and local legal frameworks affecting NGOs.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Right to work in the country of assignment for the contract duration.
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations teams and senior stakeholders.
