Legal Counsel – Morocco & Compliance

About the role

Fall Creek is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel for Morocco & Compliance to provide day‑to‑day legal support to its operations in Morocco. The role focuses on commercial, corporate, regulatory and operational matters while helping to build the company’s compliance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal adviser for all Moroccan operations, advising on commercial, corporate, regulatory and operational issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, licences, permits, land leases and agricultural contracts.
• Support interactions with Moroccan authorities such as ONSSA and manage regulatory risk.
• Coordinate external counsel for claims, disputes and litigation as needed.
• Provide legal guidance to HR, Finance, Procurement and Operations functions.
• Contribute to anti‑bribery, business ethics, third‑party due diligence, data‑protection and internal policy development.
• Assist with compliance risk assessments, investigations, training and awareness initiatives.

Required profile

• Law degree and qualification to practice law in Morocco.
• 5–10 years of relevant legal experience, in‑house or law‑firm.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan commercial and regulatory law.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Background in compliance, especially anti‑bribery and third‑party due diligence.
• Full professional proficiency in English and French; Arabic proficiency desirable.
• Experience in a multinational environment preferred.
