Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager oversees the execution and delivery of a diverse portfolio of construction projects across Morocco, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality, safety, and margin targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of all construction projects from mobilization through final handover, monitoring schedules, budgets, quality, safety and profitability.
• Conduct weekly project reviews with Project Managers, identify issues early and implement recovery plans.
• Standardise project management methods, reporting dashboards and execution practices across sites.
• Oversee mobilisation of manpower, equipment, materials and resources, and manage the company’s equipment fleet, central warehouse and logistics.
• Review and approve construction methods (reinforced concrete, post‑tensioning, prefabrication, steel structures, formwork, scaffolding, lifting, building envelopes, façades) and coordinate MEP works (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ELV, medical gases, clean rooms, laboratories).
• Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, margins, variations and claims; approve progress statements and ensure timely invoicing.
• Manage subcontractor selection, performance monitoring and payment approvals.
• Take overall responsibility for health, safety and environmental performance across all sites.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Civil, Construction, Building) with at least 15 years of construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior operational or project leadership role, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven track record managing 4‑5 concurrent projects of various types (residential, commercial, hospitals, universities, hotels).
• Strong knowledge of the Moroccan construction environment and regulations.
• Fluent French and professional English; Arabic/Darija a plus.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Morocco and be on‑site outside normal hours when required.

• MEP coordination: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ELV, medical gases, clean rooms, laboratories.
• Equipment fleet management, warehouse operations and logistics.
• Project management: planning, cost control, contractual management, claims and risk management.
• Technical drawing review and value‑engineering.
• Microsoft Office; BIM knowledge advantageous.
