Role Overview

The Product Owner – Core Insurance Platform (BMP) is a pivotal role within Novancy’s partnership with Allianz and other leading insurers. This position blends product ownership, lead consulting, and business analysis to steer the evolution of a core insurance platform that supports a wide range of insurance products and services. The role is based in Casablanca and Rabat, offering a hybrid working model that balances onsite collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Ownership: Own the product backlog, prioritize features, and ensure the platform delivers maximum business value.
• Business Analysis: Conduct in‑depth analysis of business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into actionable user stories.
• Lead Consulting: Provide strategic guidance to senior stakeholders on platform enhancements, global rollouts, and large‑scale transformation initiatives.
• Backlog Management: Maintain a clean, prioritized backlog, facilitate grooming sessions, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring agile best practices are followed.
• Stakeholder Facilitation: Act as the primary liaison between business, technical, and regulatory teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Regulatory & Security Compliance: Oversee compliance with industry regulations and security standards, mitigating risks throughout the product lifecycle.
• Tool Proficiency: Utilize Jira for issue tracking, Confluence for documentation, and SAFe for scaling agile practices.
• Leadership & Team Development: Mentor junior product owners and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience & Skills

Applicants should bring 8‑12 years of experience in business analysis, product ownership, and lead consulting within the insurance domain. Expertise in core insurance platforms such as BMP, ABS, GRP2, and Guidewire is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong backlog management, agile ceremony facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑functional team leadership. Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and SAFe is required. A customer‑focused mindset, accountability, adaptability, integrity, inclusiveness, and a passion for team development are critical attributes.
