Receptionist – Guest Services on Luxury Cruise Ship

About the role

We are seeking a Receptionist to deliver exceptional guest services aboard an international 5‑star luxury cruise ship. The role involves managing the front‑desk, handling guest inquiries, and supporting financial transactions throughout the voyage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest services at the reception desk.
• Coordinate guests' needs and ensure all requests, enquiries and complaints are addressed promptly.
• Maintain high‑level communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other ship departments.
• Assist guests with financial transactions, cash handling and foreign‑currency exchange, reconciling with the Financial Officer.
• Manage daily reception duties such as RSVP of invitations, mailing service, DVD/CD rental, newspaper delivery, restaurant reservations and wake‑up calls.
• Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Preferably 2 years experience in guest‑facing/front‑desk roles at an international 5‑star or luxury establishment.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written); advanced skills in Spanish, Portuguese, German or French are highly desirable.
• Strong administrative abilities, moral integrity and basic accounting knowledge.
• Ability to adapt quickly, think under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
• Well‑organized, self‑managed, motivated and capable of handling multiple demands calmly.
